Donation Requests and Questions from the Media - what do you do?

All requests for donations and fundraisers from The Alaska Club Network must be submitted in email. Requests can be emailed to Sales and Marketing Coordinator at jrosenstein@thealaskaclub.com or 264-2742

The Alaska Club does not sponsor individuals for races or competitions and does not give cash donations - including paid advertising in a program book for the event.

The Alaska Club may be able to donate a pass for a drawing or for a prize to be given away at a fund raising event. 1 month passes are valued at $100, 1 week passes are valued at $25 and 1 visit passes are valued at $15.

Media Procedures

In order to avoid miscommunication between The Alaska Club and the media the following procedures should be followed when a member of the media calls or comes by your location (this includes newspaper and magazine reporters, columnists, television crews, and anyone wanting to take photographs or video footage etc.):

1. Tell them to contact Tina Day, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for The Alaska Club Network at 264-2739.
2. The appropriate people will be coordinated for the story and the best location, time, etc. will be set up. The club manager will also be contacted to make them aware of what will be happening.
3. Do not offer to be interviewed or to answer any questions they may have.
4. If they want to interview members, make sure that the members know what is going on and that the media gets the member,s permission before they start asking questions.
5. On weekends or after hours, please get as much information as you can and then contact the General Manager of the club for proper authorization. Any media representatives should not be allowed in any club without prior arrangements.
